Hey there! You found my blog!
Ever since I could hold a pen, I’ve been writing. Getting older, words continued to be my jam, and it’s led me to pursuing editing and writing into my adult life.
But blogging was never something I’d pictured myself doing. Well, pride be damned, here I am.
This is not a journal. My aim here is to write about topics that get me interested, challenge me, or just aren’t talked about enough. Even in the cacophany of voices on the internet, I feel like there are issues and perspectives that aren’t addressed.
It’s a vague thing to call a hobby, but my hobby is ideas. More specifically, I’m interested in ideas about how society works, what Christian culture looks like, how body image is distorted, and why creativity is important. I’m not particularly interested in talking prettily so much as being honest and authentic. I’d love to share some of that with you.
Toni Morrison once said, “If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” If you insert blog in there instead of book, that’s my motivation for writing here.
